Job Type: Medical OD Subspecialty: Medical OD (for cataract heavy practice) Practice Location: Saratoga Springs (Wilton) NY Population: 48K - Saratoga/Wilton; 240K Saratoga County; 8.5% growth in the past 10 years MD Or Corporate Owned: MD Reason for Job Opening: Replacing ophthalmic PA If Physician is retiring, how much longer will Physician Work: 5-10 more years Experience Requirement: Prefer experience in medical setting; no optical shop or retail; we are strictly medical/surgical; need OD to see general ophthalmology, post-ops, etc. Surgeon will focus on cataract patients & surgery Target Compensation: $175,000 Bonus Opportunity: Yes, generally 20% of collections that exceed 3x base Retirement Program: 401K with Empower Other Benefits: Company contributes $5160 annually to benefits Relocation: negotiable Vacation/PTO: 4 weeks PTO plus 7 paid company Holidays; PTO increased with tenure Target Start Date: ASAP Practice Management: NextGen EMR/EPM Estimated Surg Volume for this role: None for OD unless trained on SLT. We have in-office SLT available for OD (if NYS allows) Support Staff: 2 front office, billing manager, administrator, surgery scheduler, 3 technicians (likely increase to 4 once OD up and running) Hospital Call: Yes; shared among area practitioners MDs on Staff: 1 ODs on Staff: 1 PA who is transitioning to 2 days a week July 1 Partners: Physician owner/ solo practice OD – patient per day expectation: Varies Hospital Affiliation: Saratoga Hospital ASC: Albany Regional Eye Surgery Center
