We seek a dynamic executive to lead the Roberta's House Institute (contractual and hybrid ). The director will help us launch the Roberta's House Learning Institute (RHLI). The RHLI Director will provide strategic and thought leadership, planning, curricular development, consultation on marketing, and technical guidance for accreditation. The candidate's expertise in healthcare administration, mental health education, and adjunct professorship is desirable. They may also possess expert knowledge in student-centered learning theories and teaching methods and a working knowledge of interactive technology. As a Roberta's House Executive Leadership team member, you will work with the Executive Director, President/Founder, Fund Development Directors, and Board of Directors. You report to our President/Founder. The Director oversees the Institute's day-to-day guidance on internal research activities and will serve as a resource for the organization's leadership team, department/program directors, and staff. They will lead our growth in developing educational (copyrighted) materials and presentations for medical and clinical licensed professionals, inform the community, and assist with continuing professional education initiatives. What You Will Do: Conceptualize, research, and develop an RHLI business plan to launch the entity Develop a business plan for the institute Identify and develop memoranda of understanding with appropriate partners and develop financial and other support strategies for initiatives aimed at equitable learning for underserved populations. Write, and promote concept papers, proposals, grief, and loss curricula designed for practitioners and the general public. Develop logic model and metrics measuring outcomes, participant ratios Plan and coordinate strategic communication efforts about the institute's work to various partner and funder audiences Prepare and present mental health and related information to the public Partner in overall department strategy, with a focus on impact Demonstrate experience providing capacity-building assistance at individual and organizational levels Demonstrate skills in curricula development, organizational management, and governance necessary for strengthening local partner capacity. Familiar with working in a multicultural environment and accustomed to working with people from a variety of backgrounds Proven track record managing a project team composed of several experts and fostering teamwork Collaborate with and produce training for staff Possess excellent diplomacy skills and a proven ability to establish and maintain interpersonal and professional relationships with funders, including federal agencies, training counterparts, and representatives from other key stakeholders, such as national nonprofits and the private sector. Demonstrate strong presentation skills in English What You Will Bring: Master's Degree or Ph.D. in relevant areas of study, including Public Administration, Education, Organizational Capacity Building, Management, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or other related fields. They have five years of experience implementing and providing complex instruction or technical assistance in organizational capacity-building and training projects. They demonstrate a track record of practical pedagogical approaches that engage each student. Knowledge and professional level experience in a non-profit environment preferred Tech-savvy, Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365, and detail-oriented, organized, efficient, able to juggle multiple priorities and manage projects Analytic mindset - the ability to synthesize vast amounts of information and draw intelligent, insightful, actionable conclusions Professional-level knowledge of project/proposal development processes Direct experience in education, education-adjacent, or social impact fields, ideally with a special focus on mental health or education A CPTM (certified professional in training management) is a plus. Compensation: The contract compensation package is negotiable. General Requirements ---A driver's license and a private vehicle are required. ---Successful completion of a background investigation ---Must complete successful background inquiry, which may be required annually or as requested ---Ability to regularly work in an office environment or remotely perform work as scheduled; prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and prolonged standing ---Must be able to lift 10 pounds ---Travel required (less than 25%) outside of the commuting area Why You'll Love Us: Roberta's House provides trauma-informed care and addresses grief as a public health service. Roberta's House offers free programs and services to school-age children, teens, and their families through peer and non-clinical support, education, empowerment, and community awareness. The grief service focuses on 1) those who have experienced the death of a loved one or someone special; 2) those who have family or friends who are survivors of homicide; 3) those living in high crime areas; and 4) those at risk of complicated grief reactions. The counseling programs are designed to restore children and their adult family members to a place of wholeness and provide support through the grieving process. For 15 years, Roberta's House has remained committed to the vision of a community where no one has to grieve alone.
