As the Pricing Analyst , you will perform pricing and market analysis and coordinate pricing for the organization's products and/or services in order to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives. Work closely with business development, marketing, and finance departments to develop compliant cost/price strategies and proposals. Research and track competitor pricing and market trends. Analyze the impact of pricing changes on profitability and growth rates. Primary Activities/Duties: Conduct product price research, analysis, and program development for price management strategies in support of sales and profit goals. Support and contribute to sales and marketing strategies involving new product pricing, price modifications to existing products, and implementation of new price programs and new business practices. Identify opportunities to optimize processes regarding stock discount pricing, project quoting, and special pricing agreements. Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives relating to pricing processes. Contribute to all aspects of customer bids/RFPs by performing strategic pricing analysis and overall profitability analysis of the business opportunity for all Rittal Products & Solutions customer segments. Author process improvements working towards a Pricing Center of Excellence. Experience & Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Quantitative Business Analysis, Economics, or Mathematics. Minimum 2 years of experience in pricing, quotations, sourcing/purchasing, finance, or continuous improvement. Five or more years of experience in Pricing, Quotations, Sourcing/Purchasing, Sales Inventory Operations Planning, or Finance Role, preferably in a manufacturing setting; (B2B) – Electrical or Mechanical Industries. Background in Quantitative Sales Support Roles Solid understanding with hands on experience using ERP systems SAP Experience with Salesforce, SQL, Zilliant OR other Sales Support/Pricing and Enterprise Support Software. Advanced knowledge of Excel with VBA experience. High preference given for ability to write and create macros. Strong preference given to Six Sigma experience and/or Professional Pricing Society certifications. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
