Description:
Purpose of Position:This position is responsible for all sales out of the Front Sales department. In this role the Manager must aggressively monitor product condition/quality and strategically plan each day's sales prices to move product. The primary reason for Front Sales is to move commodities that are distressed at the best price possible and avoid having to dump product. Accountabilities:All aspects of Front Sales Operations - Cash Sales, SAP transactions, interacting with customers face to face.Assuring product is handled properly, Sales displays are set up and pricing is coordinated with the Procurement TeamExpand sales opportunities within the local area to make sure local customers are aware of DM Cash Sales opportunities. Grow cliental as much as possible.Manage the day-to-day contact and resolve customer issues by addressing potential problems and suggesting solutions to assure customer satisfaction.Build market intelligence, by analyzing market conditions and develop leads to identify new opportunities for growth.Monitor customer accounts on a daily basis, to maximize on volume moving through the facility. Participates in the negotiation on pricing and volume with assigned customers to achieve sales objectives.Perform product allocation when demand exceeds supply, handling and processing of sales allowances, in order to increase sales revenues.Special projects as assigned.Minimum Skills Required:High School or equivalent GED diploma.At least 1 year of fresh produce sales experience (i.e. large retailers, wholesalers, food service and small independent and cash customers). Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word and Outlook, etc.). Knowledge of logistics involved within the produce industry. Ability to grow a business. Excellent communication skills (i.e. written and oral). Knowledge and understanding of Key Financial Indicators. Strong negotiation skills Solid prioritization and time management skills Preferred: 4 Year College Degree (Business or related field)Bi-Lingual in Spanish and EnglishEffective meeting and customer preparation & planning skills. Independent Problem solver. Knowledgeable in current practices, trends, technology and information affecting his/her customer. Ability to analyze data to identify gaps and opportunities and translate it into actionable recommendations. ***Please note: This position does not qualify for relocation expenses. ***----------DEL MONTE FRESH PRODUCE IS AN EEO/AA/V/H
