Carries out program activities in a specific district of the state for those facilities and agencies under the jurisdiction of the Center. The Health Facilities Evaluator Manager I (HFEM I) ensures that all Department and Program mandates, policies and procedures are carried out in an appropriate and consistent manner. Up to 10% travel may be required. The incumbent works under the general direction of the Health Facilities Evaluator Manager II. Health care facilities in California are licensed, regulated, inspected, and/or certified by a number of public and private agencies at the state and federal levels, including the CDPH Center for Health Care Quality (CHCQ) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). CHCQ is responsible for ensuring health care facilities comply with state laws and regulations.
