Job Title: Benefits Analyst FLSA Status : Exempt Prepared By: Corporate Human Resources Prepared Date: March 15th, 2024 Summary : Champion Homes is looking for a dynamic, agile, and experienced Benefits Analyst . This role will work under the direct supervision of the Vice President, Human Resources. This role will be responsible for conducting the day-to-day operations of Champion Home Builders, Inc. benefits program. Efficiency in administration, compliance with applicable laws/regulations, and accountability are pivotal attributes required by this role. Duties and responsibilities: Acts as central corporate benefits resource for HR contacts for all locations. Responsible for the coordination of information and assistance to employees, health care providers, insurance carriers and other third-party administrators. Researches contracts, regulations, laws, and policies to insure compliance of programs and processes that applies to eligibility issues. Performs administrative tasks associated with various Champion benefits including health insurance, dental, life, vision and other benefits; including enrollment, terminations, additions and changes. Processes and maintains records for 401k program. Ensures timely EDI between payroll/HRIS and vendors online systems and updates as necessary. Provides technical information and instruction regarding benefit coverage and applicable procedures and methods to employees, dependents, and COBRA continuants. Interprets and explains rules and regulations, answers questions, and resolves problems or complaints. Researches specific benefits questions by reviewing benefit contracts or calling insurance carriers and/or insurance broker. Coordinates certain activities related to the administration of Champion's leave of absence programs with the external leave administrator. Conducts new employee benefits orientations primarily at corporate office and at new plants and may participate in leading enrollment meetings and benefits fairs. Coordinates and completes all aspects of open enrollment, calculates employee and employer contributions amounts for various insurance plans, prepares enrollment communication and materials, and schedules and conducts employee meetings. Assists corporate team in maintaining up to date benefit materials, including SPD's and other benefits materials and develops other benefits communications such as payroll stuffers and posters. Ensures compliance with and provides guidance and assistance to employees with Family Medical Leave, extended leave, ADA, and Long-Term Disability issues. Participates with other Human Resources staff in answering general questions relating to human resources policies, procedures, and operations. Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Performs special projects as assigned by the Vice President, Human Resources to including preparing specialized reports as required. Other related duties as assigned. Education and experience Bachelor's degree and at least 2-4 years of experience with a proven track record in benefits administration which includes contract interpretation, claims resolution, and assisting with benefit questions. Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with using UKG is highly preferred. Working knowledge of the practices, procedures, and principals of human resources and employee benefits administration. Working knowledge of comprehensive employee benefit programs, including flexible benefits, federal compliance with COBRA and its ramifications, HIPAA, FMLA, and ADA. Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate policy and procedures associated with employee benefits. Must have attention to detail; strong mathematical and analytical skills and excellent computer skills (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Exceptional time management skills, ability to multi-task. Dedicated team player who demonstrates initiative and independence. Ability to use good judgment and ability to handle confidential matters in a proper and professional way.
