Apply today! Responsibilities: Reports directly to the Company Sales Manager and Store Manager Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, customers, vendors, etc.. Responsible for developing leads, strengthening relationships, and building sales in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Research information regarding customer purchases, inventories, preferences, and market trends Observe sales team, critique efforts, and develop plans to increase profitability Manage all sales staff including scheduling, training, and conducting employee reviews Work with sales team to ensure special order items are purchased accurately Develop sales budgets, quotas, and margin goals for sales team Revise and develop sales strategies, tactics, and presentations Expand our market and clientele Participate in new product development and/or new product introductions Ability to deescalate any conflicts as they arise Report any issues as needed to Sales Rep. to help problem solve and ensure customer satisfaction Maintain special order reports Develop and manage bid process/estimating process Keep up to date with competitive pricing Communicate with Purchasing for special needs products Attend and participate in all Accounting meetings Assist in Accounts Payable when needed Work with HR to identify staffing needs, interview potential candidates, and complete paperwork in a timely fashion Provide suggestions for improvement in own department and observations of other departments Any other tasks or areas of responsibility that the Schilling family deem appropriate Education/Required Skills: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience in construction management, home improvement, or building materials Well versed in accounting practices and lien rights Ability to learn Point of Sale software Strong attention to detail High achievement drive Self-starter Computer proficiency Strong oral and written communication skills Mathematical skills related to construction industry Valid driver's license Benefits: Competitive pay Medical, Dental, Vision Life insurance & short-term disability 401k with profit sharing PTO & Paid Holidays Sponsored lunch events Company discounts MISSION - Give our customers what they want, on time and error-free Schillings provides equal employment opportunity to all individuals regardless of their race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, military status, unfavorable discharge from military status, sex, marital status, disability, order of protection status, age, sexual orientation, pregnancy, or any other characteristics protected by federal, state, or local laws.
