Job Title: Language Arts Grade 5 Teacher Employment Status : Full-Time, Exempt Reports to: Upper Elementary School Principal Start Date: August 2024, Following School Calendar Responsibilities Include: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and Christian values Teach Language Arts concepts effectively, including reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar, and vocabulary Foster a Christ-like classroom atmosphere where students feel valued, respected, and are able to reach their full potential Incorporate biblical principles and Christian worldview into daily instruction and classroom discussions Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth Eager to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to enhance the overall educational experience and support student success Willingness to be creative and innovative in trying new teaching approaches with students Outgoing and enthusiastic personality that elicits joy and positivity with students, staff, and parents Willing to be responsible for other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education Current ODE teaching licensure Prior teaching experience, preferably in grade 4-6 school settings Strong knowledge of Ohio language arts curriculum standards and instructional best practices CHCA is an equal opportunity employer.
