Job Summary Responsible for setting the strategic vision for the protection and security of the employees and company through the implementation of best in class security practices. Directs and manages investigation, surveillance, documentation, reporting and resolution steps. Provides leadership and direction for multiple functional areas. Manages professionals at manager, supervisor and professional levels. Ensures appropriate resources to achieve financial and business objectives. Influences, shapes and integrates strategy for functional area(s). Job Description Core Responsibilities Develops and implements policies, procedures, standards, training and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, tampering, sabotage or loss. Plans, develops, coordinates and oversees all investigations relating to criminal or other acts which have or may have detrimental effect on the company. Prepares and documents investigations for HR, legal counsel or law enforcement agencies. Provides leadership direction to security staff and consults with senior management to ensure the safety of all employees. Researches and implements best in class security practices. Sets the vision and direction for the development of department budgets and forecasts. Contributes to the operation and management of the department in areas such as recruiting, staffing, scheduling, budgeting, training etc. Develops and maintains a professional working relationship with various law enforcement agencies. Often acts as a primary point-of-contact with law enforcement in cases involving employees or customers. Works flexible hours and is available on call 24/7 as situations warrant. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
