Made Possible.Die Cutting Operator MISSION / SUMMARY: Sets up and operates machine to cut folding cartons by performing the following duties. JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following. * Review job ticket. * Conducts pre-make ready as required. * Setting-up die, counter plates, stripping section and press. * Pulling front trim as required. * Clean counter plates and strip down dies that are locked up. * Clean area around press. * Perform maintenance as required. * Deliver cut cartons to finishing department.BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) * 1-3 years related experience and/or trainingSKILLS: * Basic Skills: * Active Learning * Active Listening * Critical Thinking * Mathematics * Monitoring Plant Performance * Reading Comprehension * Writing * Complex Problem SolvingSCHEDULE DEMANDS: * Must be able to work 8 hour shifts plus overtime as required. * Employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Standing: 34-66% of time * Walking: 34-66% of time * Pushing/Pulling: Frequently with a force of 10 lbs. Occasionally with a force of 50 lbs. Rarely with a force of 10 lbs. * Lifting: Frequently with a force of 10 lbs. Occasionally with a force of 50 lbs.
