The Video Director supports the Tech Arts Director and helps to fulfill Mid-Cities vision through technical arts. The Video Director assists with the enhancement of sermon/class presentations through technical avenues; development of Mid-Cities technical ministry; leadership and training of the technical volunteers; research, development and maintenance of Mid-Cities technical capabilitiesResponsibilities Help to oversee, maintain, develop, and operate (as needed) audio, video, and/or lighting systems in designated areas Direct and produce video for sunday service, conferences and special events Develop and train volunteers on a consistent visual brand for Mid Cities Tech Arts visual product Work under the Technical Director to provide leadership to the Technical Arts Ministry Recruit, train, and release volunteers for the Technical Arts Ministry Schedule volunteers for weekend services and special events Lead, encourage, and equip team members personally Remain aware of current ministry trends and concepts within the AVL industry (particularly churches) Consistently meet deadlines Attend and contribute to scheduled staff and service planning meetings Attend and contribute to department meetings Operate and care for video equipment Performance Measurements Overall upkeep of church AVL systems in designated areas Excellent AVL on Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and special events Recruitment, training, releasing, and scheduling of tech team volunteers Attitude towards leadership, tech team, and the church Prompt response to critical needs Skills Excellent understanding of the various technical requirements of speaking, music, drama, lighting and video Two years demonstrated experience in the areas of sound, lighting and/or video production. Be able to remain calm under pressure Basic computer knowledge and applicable skills Basic knowledge and understanding of networks and network topology and management. Ability to learn systems and equipment quickly (wiring and operations) Ability to think fast to solve problems quickly Present facts in an organized manner Provide detail description of possible solutions Positive attitude and positive approach to problem solving Attention to detail Be able to make decisions based on whats best for the church as a whole, not just the tech arts ministry Ability to communicate effectively Demonstrated dependability and promptness Ability to consider others ideas and implement without offense Ability to accept and apply criticism without personal offense High moral character and leadership Team player with positive, servant-motivated attitude Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines Ability to manage project deadlines Self-motivated
