HeyTutor is looking to hire part-time Bilingual (Spanish) tutors to help K-6th students with basic ELA, Math and Homework help. We have 17 positions available within the Chula Vista area that we are looking to fill. This is a Part time / In Person position paying $19 to $24 per hour and we are aiming to start this role within the week. Position: PK-6th School Bilingual Tutor Responsibilities: Assess Spanish speaker students’ current in English and Math skills. Help students work through their homework and study for exams. Provide mentoring and social and emotional support by encouraging impactful, positive tutor-student relationships and increasing students’ motivation and engagement in learning. Qualifications: Candidates who are currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program or have an Associates or Bachelor’s degree. Some kind of experience with children would be considered. Comfortable working in a classroom setting with grade school students. Successfully complete a Background Check and Negative TB test Schedule: Monday - Thursday: 2:30 – 5:45pm and Friday 1:15 – 5:45pm (17/18 hours per week) *Please note the start times will vary between each school site depending on bell schedule* Pay Information: Pay is in between $19-24 per hour Paid bi-weekly ** HeyTutor recruits, employs, trains, compensates and promotes regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, disabilities, age, veteran status and other protected status as required by applicable law.
