About the role What you need to know: This role is a critical process lead role with the AIG 200 reinsurance finance transformation program. Specific areas of responsibility include working as part of the transformation team to: Define future state end to end processes and operating model Identify critical gaps between current state and future state through fit gap assessment and define options/recommendation on how to close the gap Approach and scope for data conversion needed to support the go forward process Support the testing and sign off process Work with the various teams and geographical locations on change management and training Position has high visibility at departmental senior management level, and interacts with various levels of individuals and organizations, as well as with regional teams (reinsurance placement, finance controllers, CFOs, legal, systems, etc.), product line management Expected to create alignment through thought leadership, critical thinking, direction/context setting and stakeholder communications. What we're looking for: Education: Bachelor's Degree (finance major preferred)Advanced degree and/or designation in a related field a plus (i.e. ARe or CPCU designations, MBA, CPA, MS, PhD, ACAS, FCAS, etc.)Experience :15+ years of relevant experience in an insurance/reinsurance company Experience :Extensive ceded reinsurance experience; managing and leading others; increasing levels of responsibility in a large scale organization Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 15+ years of experience managing day to day reinsurance and finance operations 10+ years of experience with business process reengineering and transformation Advanced knowledge of reinsurance including underwriting, claims, accounting, finance and associated process, controls and systems A reinsurance underwriting or broking background; related discipline experience such as Risk, Capital Management, or Legal would be a plus Excellent working knowledge of Sapiens Reinsurance Master (SRM) Advanced working knowledge of relevant trends and information within the industry Advanced working knowledge of financial analysis and financial modeling Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices, the insurance/reinsurance markets, and the analysis and reporting of financial data Advanced working knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources Technical and/or analytic expertise that can be adapted to current technologies; Working knowledge of systems and technology utilized within area of responsibility Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, Power Point and Word Strong verbal and written communication skills with significant experience interacting with executive management and external stakeholders Strong negotiation, analytical, decision making, problem resolution and organizational skills; #LI-CS3 Enjoy benefits that take care of what matters At AIG, our people are our greatest asset.
