United Cerebral Palsy is a not-for-profit organization serving the needs of children and adults with developmental disabilities throughout Suffolk County for over 75 years. The accounts payable bookkeeper is in charge of making payments owed by the agency to vendors, suppliers and other creditors. This position keeps track of what is owed to vendors and ultimately controls expenses by fulfilling payments and receiving, processing and verifying invoices. The accounts payable bookkeeper is also responsible for accurate and timely coding and entry into the accounting software. QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree in Accounting or related field or a minimum of 2 years related accounting experience preferred.High School Diploma required.Experience in Not-for-Profit industry preferred.Must have knowledge of basic to intermediate Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel). Knowledge of Great Plains a plus.UCP of Long Island is an Equal Opportunity Employer
