Black Owl Recruiting -is searching for a reliable and compassionate -home-care nurse -for a very reputable client. This will be a permanent placement.The responsibilities include performing patient visits and monitoring their conditions, conducting tests, and writing reports for the physician. - The ideal candidate should be able to address all the care recipients -concerns and make appropriate adjustments to the patients' in-home management plan. To be successful as a home-care nurse, the candidate -should be a nurturing individual who can handle a wide range of tasks without being squeamish. Outstanding candidates possess the mental strength and resilience to care for patients and are also able to provide emotional support to family members if required. Registered Nurse, Field Nurse (RN) Responsibilities: Traveling to patients' homes and managing their care plans according to physicians' instructions. Administering medication and insulin, and completing blood pressure, glucose, urine, and stool tests. Inspecting wounds, changing dressings, and handling personal grooming and hygiene. Testing for muscle weakness, bedsores, and any signs of infection. Listening to the concerns of family members and answering their questions. Educating caregivers and family on the aftercare or ongoing care of the patient. Providing suggestions for improved healthcare to physicians and family members of the patient. Monitoring patient recovery and compiling reports for the physician. Keeping abreast of developments in healthcare and attending workshops and lectures as required. Collaborating with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop improved diets and healthcare plans for patients. CHHA, Field Nurse (RN) Requirements: Associates degree in nursing or similar. BLS certification Additional courses in biology, anatomy, and science may be required. Relevant license and certification. A completed apprenticeship or experience in a similar role. Excellent observational and problem-solving skills. The ability to follow instructions but also to act independently if necessary. Excellent report writing skills. Active listening skills and empathy. Physical and mental strength. A valid driver's license and reliable transport may be required. CHHA certification preferred but not necessary. Prior experience in a home health aide position, nursing home setting, or similar type role will be considered. However, those without experience in home health, and those without CHHA certification may be subject to paid training.
