General Summary of Position Medstar Health is looking for a Diagnostic Technologist to join our team! We are looking for a registered Radiology Technologist with excellent communication skills. - -The Diagnostic Technologist will make a difference on our team by performing diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation. -Join one of the largest healthcare systems in the Baltimore-Washington metro region, also recognized as one of the "Healthiest Maryland Businesses". Apply today and learn how MedStar Health can be your next great career move! - -Primary Duties: -Acquires ordered images including evaluating these images for technical quality. Sends images to appropriate destinations for interpretation. - -Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. Maintains X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order. Performs preventative maintenance regularly. - -Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures. Transports patients to radiographic room and prepares and maintains room. -Performs radiographic examinations. Prepares written documentation such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports. - -Requests and orders supplies. - -Qualifications: - -High School Diploma or GED. -Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in the State of Maryland. -Basic Life Support (BLS). -Associate degree preferred. - - - - Why MedStar Health?
