General Summary of Position This is a PRN Position. -Medstar Health is looking for -a -Diagnostic Technologist -to join -our -team! -We are looking for -a -registered Radiology Technologist with excellent communication skills. -The -Diagnostic Technologist -will make a difference on our team by performing diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation.Join one of the largest healthcare systems in the Baltimore-Washington metro -region, -also -recognized as one of the "Healthiest Maryland Businesses". Apply today and learn how MedStar Health can be your next -great career -move!Primary Duties:Acquires -ordered images including evaluating these images for technical quality. Sends images to -appropriate destinations -for interpretation. -Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. Maintains X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order. -Performs preventative maintenance regularly.Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures. -Transports patients to radiographic room and prepares and -maintains -room.Performs radiographic examinations. -Prepares -written -documentation such -as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports. -Requests and orders -supplies.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in the State of Maryland.Basic Life Support (BLS).Associate -degree -preferred. - Primary Duties and Responsibilities - Minimum Qualifications Why MedStar Health?
