The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional advocacy skills, a commitment to ethical practice, and the ability to lead and support a diverse team.Duties:Creatively identify eligible immigration relief options for clients.Strategize and advocate for clients facing challenging immigration questions.Prepared clients for USCIS interviews and attended interviews when necessary.Provide leadership, support, and training to the paralegal team and other non-lawyer staff.Monitor and enforce ethical obligations for non-lawyer team members.Answer legal questions from legal support teams.Review and edit USCIS applications and supporting materials.Stay informed about legislative, regulatory, administrative, and case law changes in immigration law.Provide strategic insight on case processing and seek ways to improve legal processes.Requirements:J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.Active membership in good standing of a State Bar.Experience working with, training, and supervising non-lawyer staff.Bilingual in English and Spanish.Preferred Qualifications:Have previous experience in an immigration law firm handling humanitarian and family-based visa applications (e.g., VAWA, T-Visa, U-Visa, Asylum, Medical DA, I-601, DS-260, DS-160, I-130, N-400).Advocacy-focused approach to client representation.Continued improvement mindset with an innovative approach to analyzing and improving operations and processes.Excitement for change and growth.Leadership skills and strong work ethic.Education and Certifications:J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.Active membership in good standing of a State Bar.Skills:Advocacy skills.Leadership skills.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.Strong work ethic.Legal research and analytical skills.Communication skills.Attention to detail.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
