Our machinists, press operators, purchasing, shipping and administration personnel – all of us – know that smart thinking based on sound business practices keeps our business growing.The Position: We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Administrator to conduct quality control inspections and manage quality control administration for Northwest Stamping. The Quality Control Administrator’s responsibilities include developing and maintaining quality control policies, conducting tests and inspections, identifying production, process, or product issues, and presenting solutions. The ideal candidate for this position should pride themselves on being incredibly thorough and driven to help our company maintain the highest quality standards.ResponsibilitiesMaintain Northwest Stamping’s Quality System and ensure it complies with ISO 9001.Develop, maintain, and control quality documents for production. Prepare and review inspection procedures and cross train other team members as required.Maintain clear and accurate records, along with all aspects of workplace organization.Maintain the Company Quality Manual and all accompanying documentsPerform calibration on measuring devices in the facility.Schedule, conduct, and document results of Internal Audits.Lead the Organization Review Committee’s quarterly meetings, including development of agenda, taking minutes, and ensuring action items that come out of the meeting are assigned.Communicate with customers and vendors regarding various quality issues.Other duties as assigned by supervisor and department leadership.Required SkillsA High School Diploma or GED.At least 2 years of experience in quality control, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Proficient in a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office 365.Great computer skills and the ability to learn new skills quickly.Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information.Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.Preferred Education & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in related field preferred, but not required – we will train the right candidateExperience writing quality control proceduresExperience using fine measurement tools to calibrate machinery and compare completed product to specifications.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, and controls in precisely coordinated movements; and reach with hands and arms in a fast-paced, often repetitive manner. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.Must be able to periodically lift, carry, and move up to 15 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to discern minute differences in products and materials.Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, with occasional loud noise from equipment in adjacent work areas.
