The Regional VP of Sales supports, leads and directs the sales efforts in an assigned region, including community sales teams’ productivity, revenue optimization and occupancy growth. The RVP is responsible for planning, reporting, goal setting, sales tactic execution, sales system and CRM training, sales program creation & implementation, sales compensation administration, and partners with operations partner and community leadership in the recruiting, selection, and onboarding of sales talent.The RVP is responsible for increasing the performance and sales success of the community sales teams directly in the assigned region. The RVP collaborates closely with community Executive Directors, Operations leadership, Senior Lifestyle Counselors and Discovery Senior Living support services on executing the priority tactics that will deliver expected financial and occupancy results. The RVP role uses influential leadership in partnering with the Executive Director at each community to maximize the productivity of the community sales team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reports on sales activity and sales results for the purpose of creating and executing tactics with regional operations, EDs and SLCs weekly and during every community visit. Coaches, trains, and assists with the management of the Senior Lifestyle Counselors (SLC), Coordinators and associated sales staff. Coaches for improved performance as necessary to achieve established goals. Provides guidance for expansion of Sales Generated Leads, including professional referral partnership, sales events and local referral campaign strategies. Motivates the sales staff (SLCs) through effective leadership and positive reinforcement to enhance our culture and improve employee retention. Interviews and screens SLC candidates to ensure those hired meet success criteria and standards for the role. Manages the mystery shopping in accordance with the internal review process addressing training and coaching opportunities. Completion of Competitive Market Analysis quarterly meeting the deadlines for Business Intelligence. Maintains accurate competition reports for each community and has a complete knowledge of market conditions and competition, as to advise DSL leadership on changing conditions; displays understanding of the organizations “value pricing” program and collaborates with DSL leadership to review and adjust pricing as is necessary. Delivers Manager on Duty sales training for all necessary community team members. Supports the design and development of educational modules to enhance professional selling skills for each sales team member to improve the overall effectiveness of their sales results. Establishes and communicates to appropriate stakeholders (SVP, AVP Sales, ED, Regional Ops Leaders) sales compensation plans for all sales team members. Approves the accurate accounting of commissions payments to sales team members. Present professionally and in a concise, data-driven manner to senior leadership and capital partners sales results, upcoming sales forecasts with sales strategies and tactics on a monthly, quarterly basis. Sales Overall responsibility of achieving sales move-ins and budgeted occupancy for each community within regional responsibilities. Ensures daily occupancy report is accurate and maintains knowledge of sales results for all communities. Measures sales activities, sales conversion ratios, and move ins, to find opportunities for improvement through the design of sales strategies & tactics to meet or exceed predetermined sales goals. Demonstrates proficiency in all aspects of the CRM system and is proficient in training sales team members. Performs community site visits to assess the proper adherence to all sales processes; uses the gathered information to train and coach the sales team members for continuous improvement. Visits communities in their region on a regular basis to observe individual and group dynamics with the sales teams and the operations partners. Assists sales team with implementation of sales and marketing programs/strategies. Ensures that each Senior Lifestyle Coordinator is supporting the sales processes in accordance with the SL Coordinator handbook. Educates all new and existing SLCs on the standards of the SLC handbook. Ensures ongoing compliance. Completes monthly analysis of the Key Performance Indicator, Revenue Flash and Executive Financial Reviews reports and develops tactics to improve occupancy and revenue performance. Assures full, accuracy and complete integrity in daily, weekly and monthly sales reporting. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Relations/Communications, Marketing or related field – MBA preferred Five to Seven years selling in a dynamic environment; minimum three years in senior living At least four years’ experience in multi-community/regional sales role with supervisory experience If having a direct impact on the lives of others is appealing to you, apply today and join our team!
