Maintenance Technician Lauderdale West Community Association is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team in Plantation, Florida. ABOUT THE ROLE: The position is responsible for safely maintaining and identifying the physical condition and daily appearance of the community. Main duties include completing service work orders and repair work as assigned by supervisors. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Minor plumbing, repair/replace valves, flappers, solder copper pipes. Minor electrical repairs. Painting, minor carpentry, drywall installation Investigate water intrusion and waterproofing. Repairs parking lot and sidewalks with asphalt, cold patching materials and concrete Repairs of building stucco Assists other departments, when necessary, with moving furniture, unloading/storing supplies Performs other related duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: High School or GED required. Minimum 3-5 years of experience. Current Driver's license required. Computer efficiency Spanish is a plus. Self-motivated, prioritizing tasks. Able to work in a team environment. EXPECTATIONS: Maintaining corporate and local policies. Excellent communication skills & Strong listening skills. Supporting our core strategies contained within our strategic plan. Positive and friendly attitude with lots of energy. Teachable, empathetic and love of technology. SALARY & COMPENSATION: Compensation based on commensuration. ($19- $21 per hour) Benefits include Mental, Health, Vision with employer contribution, PTO including vacation & holidays.
