Senior Electrical Designer Location: Omaha, NE Description: Purpose of Position Provide comprehensive electrical design support for projects related to pipeline facilities (measurement and regulation stations, compressor stations, Client plants, pipelines, etc.). Prepares detailed functional and physical design drawings of electrical equipment and related facilities in accordance with accepted design practices and standards. This includes technical area plans, wiring schematics and layout diagrams for power and controls projects. Perform calculations including electrical load calculations, conduit and electrical system sizing, and equipment capacity. Ensure design drawings meet Company specifications, regulatory and safety requirements. Assist Engineers with resolving any electrical design issues and developing effective solutions. Qualifications An associate's degree in engineering or a related field, a technical degree, or equivalent work experience. Three to four years of related experience in gas pipeline engineering, operations or construction is preferred. Seeking candidates with electrical utility design experience. Candidates must have proficiency in AutoCAD as well as recent experience in designing and drafting electrical systems in a utility environment. Position entails designing and running electrical circuits. Proficient with AutoCAD and Excel is required. Experience with Adobe/BlueBeam is a plus. Knowledge in engineering and operations related, codes, standards and procedures, i.e. (DOT, FERC, OSHA, NNG, etc.).
