We are a fast-growing team of 40 legal-tech professionals focused on helping law firms grow with Filevine, a case management platform. In addition to consulting services to help firms adapt and optimize their processes with technology, we also built a QuickBooks Online integration that Filevine is now selling. We have hundreds of clients now using it, with more each day. During our setup of the integration, we see so many firms that could use outsourced accounting, so we are launching a new offering called Finance Skills .We launched Finance Skills a few months ago, and we are growing our team so we re-introduced this job posting.What is unique about our outsourced accounting services is that we will optimize the technology that drives the accounting process, allowing us to streamline the systems and help clients operationally beyond just "doing the books." We can handle finance-related tasks inside their Filevine and build tools to automate as much as possible. Our tech stack includes the following: Filevine for case management (required) QuickBooks Online for accounting (required) QuickBooks Connect our integration to connect Filevine and QB (required) Billpay services: QuickBooks Billpay, Bill.com Credit card: Expensify, Divy Payroll / HR: Gusto, Justworks, Zenefits, etc Who is an ideal fit for this? You've worked for a law firm handling finances with QuickBooks Online and understand the processes, trust accounting, and what others on the team need from the finance person to move the business forward. This could be in contingency and/or time- and fee-based billing firms. If you are entrepreneurial or creative, you can contribute to continually improving the system. This is welcome news if you've been stuck and frustrated following an outdated process. When reading the tech stack, you smile and understand how key those are to operational excellence. You enjoy the occasional video calls with clients helping them through finance processes. You enjoy meaningful work, are relatively self-managed when goals are clear, and would excel as a 100% remote team member. What work needs to get done? Initial setup of our technology tools and systems. Some clients may need help moving to QuickBooks Online and rolling out tools like Expensify. If they are coming from a prior accounting system, this will involve getting opening balances and managing things like open AR. Some of this we can bulk import using our technology tools. Think of us as an "insourced team member" who focused on finances and the day to day operational accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, trust accounting, reconciliations and standardized month-end-close process. Larger customers may use us for overseeing system, handling unique situations, reconciliation and month-end-close; while their staff does the daily operational accounting of accounts payable and receivable. Reguarly monthly scheduled check-in calls with the client to keep things on track and review finances. How about the compensation?
