Nooter Chicago is seeking an Accounting Manager for their office located in University City, IL Office. The Accounting Manager's primary responsibility is to prepare financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and be a liaison with our parent company for Accounting matters. This position will be involved in the strategic planning process as part of the leadership team and will be required to maintain a forward-looking perspective for the organization. We have a national network and the local expertise for the Chicago area. DAY IN THE LIFE: The Accounting Manager will report directly to the VP/GM. This position will be involved in the strategic planning process as part of the leadership team and will be required to maintain a forward-looking perspective for the organization. The Accounting Manager is responsible for reviewing, recommending changes, and enforcing all accounting policies. As well as supervising and, as needed, reviewing work of A/R, A/P and Payroll teams. The position will be responsible for completing and ensuring accuracy for: annual reporting sent to the parent company, leading the year-end, union, and customer audits, preparing quarterly and monthly financial statement, preparing monthly WIP schedules and reviewing them with Project Managers and VP/GM, processing intercompany cost from parent company and other subsidiaries, analyzing the adequacy of the company's Workmen's Comp reserves and adjust monthly as needed, and daily reviewing and recording of bank transactions. The Accounting Manager will have to travel up to 20% of the time to our St. Louis office. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Related Field 5+ years of Accounting experiences Experience with Construction ERP software Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams. Excellent written and spoken communication skills, a savvy learner who is resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and prioritize accordingly to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information. Proactive approach to problem-solving and strong decision-making skills. Highly professional and trustworthy team player. We provide full benefits package.
