Title: Compensation Analyst Department: HR Bargaining Unit: NBU Grade: N/A Position Type: Exempt Position Summary The Compensation Analyst provides compensation administration, analysis, and pay structure design to ensure the company is competitive in its compensation policies, practices, and pay plans. "Has minimum necessary access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) by Job Description/Role." Key Duties and Responsibilities Maintains job description (JD) repository ensuring accurate and current job descriptions are on file for every position. Maintains associated job table in HRIS. Works with HR Business Partners to assist business leaders in drafting comprehensive job descriptions. Leads virtual workshops to discuss specifics of the job, review JD drafts, and edit as necessary. Reviews and approves final drafts of all job descriptions and distributes for posting. Conducts market analysis to determine competitive positioning of all jobs. Prepares reports of employee information relative to market data for presentation to company executives. Conducts internal equity analysis to provide salary recommendations for job postings, new hire offers, and internal promotions, as requested. Assesses jobs and respective duties to determine classification in accordance with FLSA Guidelines ensuring all employees are classified appropriately. Works with HR Leadership to determine course of action in issues of non-compliance. Partners with HR Business Partners to implement changes or corrections to employee status or job when necessary. Uses market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position. Builds salary structure, assigning every job to the appropriate pay scale. Leads compensation related initiatives or projects. Determines project plan, including tools, schedule, milestones, and deliverables. Conducts data and cost analyses to be used in employee negotiations and collective bargaining agreements. Provides insight into data significance and identifiable trends; makes recommendations for alignment of pay rates. Creates, maintains, and distributes compensation related tools, documents, and training materials. Provides data input to annual salary surveys. Interprets market data in relation to company positions and organizational structure. Audits compensation related data in HRIS to ensure data integrity. Documents and corrects issues when identified. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business. Six years of experience as a compensation analyst in a corporate environment. 2+ years Workday core compensation and advanced compensation modules. Strong decision-making and organizational skills, with the ability to optimize the use of all available resources and deliver on multiple priorities. Ability to work independently and direct own work by determining short and long term objectives. Excellent analytical thinking and mathematical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills. Exceptional team player with the confidence and integrity to earn the confidence of leadership colleagues quickly. Highly developed sense of professionalism, maturity, integrity, and commitment to customer satisfaction. Preferred Qualifications Human Resources or Compensation certification. Understanding of Taft Hartley.
