Primary Purpose: Under supervision, performs installation, repairs, and repair of wastewater collection system; Qualifications: Education/Certification: Individual must possess a valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Class B CDL - or must be obtained within 6 months. 1 year of heavy equipment operation Experience working with pumps Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to understand and follow detailed written or verbal instructions A b i l i t y to r e ad a nd i n t erp r et d o c u m e n ts s u c h a s s a f e t y ru l e s , o p era t i n g a nd m a i nt e n a n c e i n s tru c t i o n s , a nd pro c e d u r e m a n u al s . Ability to communicate effectively with others Ability to correctly prioritize workload Ability to work rotating work schedules and nights Experience: Major Responsibilities and Duties: Repair or unclog wastewater (sewer) lines or sewer mains with hydro-cleaner and/or vacuum truck Installs clean-outs in sewer service lines Sets up barricades when required to protect employees and the general public Performs routine maintenance on hydro-cleaner and vacuum truck, tools, and equipment Digs holes, run-off gutters, and trenches using hand tools and other equipment Re c ords all service calls and daily duties Ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
