Daily Family Meal Employee Discounts on Food, Beverage, and Retail Ongoing Career & Leadership Development Diverse, Inclusive and Safe Venue ABOUT THE ROLE The Houseperson is essential in supporting the housekeeping department and ensuring the smooth operation of a hotel's cleaning and maintenance activities. Housepersons are responsible for assisting housekeepers, maintaining cleanliness in public areas, and performing various tasks to help maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the hotel. WHAT YOU WILL DO Housekeeping Support: Assist housekeepers by replenishing cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, and collecting dirty linens and trash from guest rooms Public Area Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of public areas, such as hallways, corridors, lobbies, library, and elevators, by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting as needed Furniture and Equipment Setup: Assist in setting up furniture and equipment for special events, meetings, conferences, and banquets Maintenance Tasks: Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, repairing minor fixtures, and reporting larger maintenance issues to the appropriate staff Trash Removal: Empty trash receptacles in public areas, replace liners, and ensure that trash is disposed of properly Inventory Management: Keep track of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, and report when supplies need replenishing Safety and Security: Keep a watchful eye on public spaces to ensure the safety and security of guests and their belongings Guest Services: Provide information about the hotel's services to assist guests in making the most of their stay WHO YOU ARE You are a hardworking, reliable, and adaptable team player who takes pride in contributing to the cleanliness and organization of the hotel. You work behind the scenes to ensure that guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel facilities are well-maintained.
