We invite you to join our team of diverse, qualified individuals in this dynamic role based in the vibrant Colorado Springs, CO area. Position Overview: The candidate will play a crucial role in the Platform and Infrastructure (P&I) information technology team, assisting senior system administrators and government network subject matter experts in managing and sustaining network components vital to the operations of associated support networks. Essential Functions: Knowledge of network architecture, engineering, design, implementation, and testing. Understanding of network communication protocols and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP) and IP network troubleshooting. Knowledge of network testing methodologies using routers, switches, and firewalls. Knowledge of TCP/IP behavior, network communications and routing protocols, network traffic analysis, and troubleshooting experience. Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools. Basic Qualifications: Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable. An active Secret clearance is required to start. 5 years with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 3 years with a Master's degree or 9 years experience in lieu of a degree. Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers. Familiarity with network communication products, including routers, switches, firewalls, Domain Name Servers (DNS), and data encryption products. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in the industry vendor Juniper or Cisco are a plus. Prior knowledge of the C2BMC networks or organization. Knowledge, skill sets, or experience using protocol analyzers/sniffers (e.g., Wireshark). Experience in Network Management Systems (HP Network Node Manager, Solarwinds, and NAS/SAN technologies (NetApp or Gigastore). Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
