Summary Description: Our Mechanical Engineering intern will help prepare calculations and reports, work with engineering systems, and perform analysis of mechanical design choices. This individual may test products, interact with various members of a project team, and create or modify CAD models. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with mechanical and thermal sensor/device design, development, building, and testing. Analyze problems and test results, prepare reports, and propose device solution options. Update the work instructions of the department procedures. Position Requirements: Must be actively pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field Must possess a 3.0 or greater grade point average General computer program knowledge (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook) Experience with CAD modeling Strong communication and organizational skills Hours: 29 (or fewer) hours per week. Intern will coordinate with respective Manager the work schedule to occur on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
