Staff Accountant Based in Minster, Ohio Nidec Minster Corporation, a subsidiary of Nidec-Shimpo Corporation, is a world class supplier of equipment and services for the material forming industry. Nidec Minster is continuing to grow both organically and through acquisitions, now with locations in the US, Spain, Germany, Mexico and China. Nidec Minster is seeking a dynamic Staff Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance Team. This position will support the department by assisting with monthly financial closes, quarterly financial reporting, tax reporting, and internal and external audits. Job Responsibilities : Support the close and consolidation of Nidec Minster and its US and foreign subsidiaries, including preparing necessary journal entries, performing detailed monthly account reconciliations, analyzing and evaluating financial results and preparing supporting schedules. Research and interpret accounting data as part of required analysis and in response to inquiries. Compile and analyze financial data for required federal, state and local tax reporting. Prepare documentation for internal and external audits. Consistently evaluate business processes to identify and implement process improvements with existing and new systems and technology. Perform ad hoc accounting duties as needed for AR, AP, fixed asset and cost accounting. Collaborate with other Accounting and Finance team members and other members of the organization on various internal and cross-functional projects. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Accounting 1-3 years post-graduate experience in a similar role, preferably with some experience in a manufacturing environment. Must be detail oriented, extremely accurate and have exceptional organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills Self-starter with high performance standards Preferred, but not required: MBA and/or CPA Modern global ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.) Familiarity with IFRS accounting regulations An equal opportunity/affirmative action employer, M/F/D/V Nidec Minster Corporation will not accept unsolicited resumes from individual recruiters or third party recruiting agencies in response to Nidec Minster Corporation job postings.
