Tang & Biscuit is all about food & fun for all! With a reimagined menu featuring hand crafted items & fan favorite cocktails, RVA's premier entertainment venue continues to evolve. Guests can enjoy weekly live music, trivia nights, Drag Brunches, games & MORE. Overview Do you enjoy working in the service industry but aren't in love with the lengthy face-to-face transaction of traditional serving? Well we have the position for you!Our FOH Attendants are cross-trained in a multitude of areas! Front Desk, Food Running, Shuffleboard Desk, Bussing, etc. Our pay is also competitive with most (if not all) traditional serving positions! If you like fast-paced environments where everyday isn't the same, then Tang & Biscuit is the place for you! Pay begins at $12 per hour plus tips and is paid out weekly on Fridays. Our FOH are off every Monday, Tuesday, holiday, and most Sundays! We are on a tipshare system, with the FOH department making 25% overall. 20 hours worked could mean over $400! Have a friend who already works with us? You can get a $100 bonus for working 80 hours, and so can your friend! Key Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests. Pre-empt guest needs through observation, communication and interaction. Organize and schedule game play. Understand game rules and instructions, communicate them enthusiastically and patiently to allow guests with a range of experience to learn and enjoy. Perform tasks to help other staff members when they see they need help. Operate a point of sale (POS) system for sales, reservations and resolutions. Clear tables and game play areas. Return dish and glass ware to kitchen/bar. Keep all guest visible areas clean and presented in a 'just opened' manner. Sweep and mop floors as necessary. Put out wet floor signs and act upon any safety concerns immediately. Ability to give clear directions and take direction well. Appropriately garnish food orders and get them to their designated table. Other duties may be assigned. Key Qualifications High functioning multi-skilled service experience preferred. Management is willing to train hired applicants in specific areas unique to Tang & Biscuit. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Over 21 years of age is preferred. Excellent communication, time management and organization skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced team while remaining positive and polite. Skilled in driving team cohesion and fun for all. Energetic, enthusiastic, welcoming and friendly personality. A high level of self-awareness, integrity and adaptability. Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time including maneuvering up and down stairs.
