Job Description Amerapex is seeking a Corrosion Engineer with a minimum of eight (5) years of experience in the petroleum refining, petrochemical, and/or gas processing industries with a focus on the areas of damage mechanism identification, risk-based inspection programs, and/or fit for service applications. The position will include assignments that require the application of engineering education in the mathematical, physical, or engineering sciences related to Mechanical Engineering. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct detailed corrosion and materials studies. Conduct failure investigations into material and corrosion issues in accordance with prescribed or approved failure investigation procedures. Conduct corrosion failure analysis and assist Client engineers with corrosion anomalies and failures. Ensure effective data management Provide technical assessment and interpretation of corrosion/inspection monitoring data When warranted recommend changes in corrosion criticality analyses Ensure Regulatory and client standard compliance Ensure implementation of client corrosion management control strategies. Assist with corrosion input to on planned Turnaround programs. Ensure that HSE risk implications of integrity issues are clearly identified and assessed for consideration by the Client BS in Engineering degree required. 5 to 10 years of experience working in facilities and/or EPC consulting required Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully the following are required: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering Fluent in the English language. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and colleagues. Must demonstrate experience with a PC and Microsoft Suite of Software.
