Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC), a member-owned electric distribution utility, is hiring for a 1st Class Lineworker at the Grand Isle District.We are looking for individuals who are safety-committed, team-oriented, flexible, and collaborative. The ideal candidate is a Journeyman Lineworker who is adaptable to new technology and committed to high-quality work. You should know that our Lineworkers frequently work outside and sometimes in unpleasant or extreme weather. As a rural cooperative, many of our lines are off-road and pole climbing is sometimes required. This position includes participation in the on-call rotation. There is frequent planned and unplanned overtime.
