Job Summary: Objective Area Solutions (OAS) is seeking an experienced air traffic controller with significant experience separating and controlling air traffic in terminal and/or enroute environments as well as expertise in aviation safety reporting. This role will support the Joint Air Traffic Operations Command (JATOC) Event Investigation Management activities. The role plays a crucial part in backing the Federal Aviation Administration, an entity charged with the vital task of ensuring the safety of 45,000 flights and 3 million passengers across more than 28 million miles of U.S. controlled airspace daily. Key Responsibilities: A successful candidate must have a minimum of 15 years of operational air traffic experience and be proficient in: Conducting initial safety investigations for reporting significant aviation events Applying advanced technical knowledge of and experience separating and controlling air traffic in an FAA terminal and /or enroute facility to conduct initial investigation of aircraft accidents, near mid-air collision reports, major service disruptions, and incidents Preparing analytical reports concerning aviation incidents or events to compile and report results of investigations Assisting in the compilation and review of audio and radar data, as well as other pertinent documentation, in determining causal factors, impacts, and findings regarding high visibility incidents. Qualifications: B.S. in and engineering or other discipline (ATC experience may be substituted for a degree) Operational air traffic control experience Experience supporting aviation safety programs, processes, or reporting Experience with safety management systems #LI-ONSITE At OAS diversity fuels our innovation and connects us closer to our customers and the communities we serve.
