Job Title: Food & Beverage Manager Direct Report To: Assistant Clubhouse Manager Position Summary: The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for monitoring and supervising the day-today food and beverage operations of all dining outlet activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Engage in member relations in accordance with the Clubs communication standards. Exceed membership expectations of food, service and quality. Effectively work in conjunction with other managers, Assistant Clubhouse Manager, and Clubhouse Manager. Develop and implement procedures for Club functions and private parties. Maintain active communication between the front of house and back of house operations. Maintain awareness of standards regarding dining surroundings and develop same within staff. Complete annual performance reviews for line level staff Assists in developing and implementing business plans, operating reports, forecasts and budget figures. Schedule writing for the service team, servers, bussers, food runners, and bartenders. Inventory procedures - small ware, plates, liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic items Conduct interviews to hire top talent to support the growth of the food & beverage department Proactively seek new industry trends and standards. Additional duties may be assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises employees in the food and beverage dining outlets and banquet functions. Execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Club's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in coordination with the club's policies. Qualifications and Functional Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Demonstrates transferable skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, guest service and effective communication. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Jonas point of sale software knowledge preferred, but not required. TIPS Alcohol Awareness and CPR/AED certifications preferred, but not required. Able to meet the physical demands and responsibilities of the position including long periods of standing and quick movement around the work area.
