JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES A Quality Engineer assures customer requirements are met. Including defining what methods and equipment will be used to measure key quality characteristics of a process. They also work to improve the quality of a process, using data collected from the operations and applying problem solving techniques. Other duties of a Quality Engineer include: Experience working with ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 or TS16949 Quality Management Systems Build working relationship with customers and suppliers Support continuous improvement initiatives Interface with all Jet personnel and customers on Quality issues Prepare AIAG PPAP's and FAI packages including dimensional inspection reports, PFMEAs, control plans and process flow diagrams. Experience in Six Sigma tools. Green Belt or higher preferred Familiar with capability studies, Cpk, Ppk and presentation of data using standard methods Working knowledge of Minitab and InspectionXpert preferred Collect data to create and present company metrics Handle customer complaints and returns of the final product and determine resolution of the problem Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5M GD&T interpretation and application Audit manufacturing and QMS processes Provide technical support to inspection personnel Other tasks as assigned JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Five years experience with a manufacturing and automotive background Good decision making and problem solving skills Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to set and achieve goals and objectives Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Able to work in a JIT manufacturing environment THIS IS A FULLY ONSITE POSITION REPORTS TO: Quality Manager BENEFITS: Full healthcare benefits on day 1, including a free medical insurance option Dental Vision STD Company paid LTD Company paid basic life insurance PTO accrual program Paid holidays Optional OT Employee referral program Retirement benefits w/ a company match Job Posted by ApplicantPro
