Our client, Tree Shepherds, located in Lake Dallas, TX, is seeking a motivated and reliable Groundsperson to join our growing team! In this crucial role, you'll be an essential part of our tree care crew, working alongside experienced climbers to ensure the health and beauty of our clients' trees. Here's what you'll do: Support the Climber: Be a right-hand person, fetching tools, and materials, and prioritizing their safety throughout the workday. Maintain a Safe & Clean Work Area: Keep the worksite organized by removing brush and debris, and chipping branches. Learn Rigging Techniques: Assist with safely lowering limbs and branches using ropes. Become a Bucking Pro (after training): Operate a chainsaw to cut logs into manageable pieces (following proper training and certification). Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Leave the customer's property neat and tidy upon job completion. Embrace Continuous Learning: Be an active learner, seeking opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills in tree care, potentially leading to advancement within the company. Eagerness to learn and grow in the tree care industry. Work Environment: Primarily outdoors in various weather conditions. Moderate physical activity including lifting, carrying, and climbing.
