RS Precision is an AS9100 certified and ITAR registered precision contract manufacturer providing quality parts for Aerospace, Defense and Commercial applications since 1948. We are currently looking for a full-time CNC Programmer/Process Planner to join our team at our Farmingdale, NY location. This position offers a competitive salary (BOE) and the Benefits shown below. BENEFITS FOR THE CNC PROGRAMMER: Health Insurance Paid Vacation, Holiday and Sick days Profit Sharing Bonus Plan 401K Savings Plan CNC PROGRAMMER RESPONSIBILITIES: (included, but not limited to) Programming multiple types of CNC machines-CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Wire EDM Machines Generate CNC programs, setup sheets, and tool lists to support shop floor personnel Knowledge of cutting tools, fixture design, and coolant requirements Ensure all features and tolerances of machined parts are realized Analyze drawings and models for pertinent data and concerns Provide support and resolve technical problems as they arise Use various inspection and measurement tools to validate your work Maintain program library Work as a team by openly collaborating with engineers and fellow team members Ongoing self-training to increase personal effectiveness REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE FOR THE CNC PROGRAMMER: Mastery of CAD/CAM software (MasterCAM) 5 years' experience with complex fixture design, fabrication, and grooming 5 years' experience in programming and operating CNC mills and lathes, and Wire EDMs 5 years' experience with precision manufacturing techniques and maintaining tolerances down to +/- 0.0001" Reading and interpreting drawings, models, and other technical documents Proficiency with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite Fluent in English Experience in Aerospace and Defense Industry - preferred Experience at an AS9100 certified job shop - preferred Experience with Mazak CNC Mills, Mitsubishi WEDM machines and Chevalier Grinders - preferred ABOUT US: By providing a broad array of multi-process machining capabilities, RS Precision is a one-stop source for small to medium-sized, performance-critical parts, as well as EDM secondary operations.
