About the Team PetSmart Veterinary Services (PVS) is an independent veterinary ownership model that is rapidly growing inside PetSmart locations in the US and Puerto Rico. PVS provides a complete solution for veterinarians to open their own franchised veterinary practice. Launched in 2022, PVS hospitals connect pet parents with local, trusted veterinarians with convenient veterinarian hospital locations within PetSmart stores. It's a simple but powerful solution that gives veterinarians ownership and control of their practice while providing high-quality veterinary care. About the Location Hybrid Position: This position is located in Phoenix, Arizona and may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart's FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs. About the Job As part of the PetSmart Veterinary Health Services Team (VHS), the Principal Marketing Manager is a dual-role position supporting Vet Health Services operations and Integrated Marketing with a focus on supporting PetSmart Veterinary Services (PVS) franchise owners. This person will be the key point person between PVS franchise owners and the Marketing Team to support marketing strategies and tactics.What You'll Do: Be a strong representation of VHS/PVS and act as the liaison between franchisees and the Vet Health Services Operations Team and Integrated Marketing Teams, partnering closely with Sr. Marketing Manager and key VHS stakeholders Facilitate communication between Integrated Marketing, PVS Operations, and PVS hospitals, coordinate marketing efforts and ensure alignment Keep PVS franchisees informed of marketing strategies and upcoming national and local activity Lead and maintain ongoing communication with PVS franchisees to gather feedback, answer questions, provide general guidance on available marketing tools, and assist on marketing-related administrative duties Field all marketing requests/feedback and coordinate with Sr. Marketing Manager on all marketing support By specific location monitor, audit, and track the execution of marketing activity Gather market insights and data by geographic territory, competitive activity, and new opportunities Provide support for PVS Hospital grand openings as needed Be an advocate for PVS/PVS and the Marketing Team, championing the strategies/processes. What You Need: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field or equivalent blend of education, training, and relevant experience. 3+ years of experience executing marketing campaigns (ideally Omnichannel) such email marketing campaigns, paid advertising campaigns, and SEM/SEO campaigns Experience with local/grassroots marketing efforts for small business Past marketing liaison experience (franchise marketing experience is a plus) Deep understanding of marketing principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills, with a keen attention to detail Exceptional ability to convince and influence at multiple levels Solutions-oriented mindset and attention to detail Ability to create effective internal and external partnerships across the organization May be required to travel, work weekdays and/or weekends - 20-25% Travel A love of pets (of course!)
