Hotel Assistant General Manager

We are looking for an experienced assistant general manager with solid leadership abilities who can grow with us. You will collaborate with our general manager to plan and oversee the hotel's daily operations and assume the GM's responsibilities in their absence. This position is responsible for managing employees and ensuring our guests have a 5-star experience with our services. Our ideal candidate is passionate about customer service while also maintaining the hotel's budget and quality standards. You must have 3 years of management experience in the hospitality industry and a bachelor's degree in hospitality management is strongly preferred. Responsibilities: • Assist general manager in the day-to-day operation of the hotel in maintaining all standards of guest service• Compose an annual budget in coordination with department heads and the general manager, and perform audits throughout the year to ensure profitability• Empower the human resources department to increase efforts for turnover management, employee motivation, and employee growth and retention by providing support • Verify that all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as any business or brand-specific policies and procedures, are followed• Propose adjustments that will increase hotel profitability by assessing department performance and identifying issue areas Qualifications: • A high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in hospitality management or a related field• Have superb communication skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills• Previous experience managing a team is required; preferably in a hospitality role such as department manager• This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service• You must have 3 or more years of experience working in the hospitality field About Company: Located in charming Old Town Scottsdale, Hyatt House is your ideal weekend getaway or extended-stay hotel where business travelers and family can have a fun vacation and stay productive.
