Real Estate Accountant

We are looking for a full-time real estate accountant to join our expanding team! You'll be responsible for keeping our financial records organized, including tracking accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring that each account is reconciled correctly. This is an opportunity to bring order to our growing real estate office and see tangible results from your work on a daily basis! Responsibilities: • Handle all accounts payable and receivable on a daily basis to make sure each invoice and expense report is accurate• Ready our books for monthly and quarterly reports• Prepare detailed reconciliations for each account to ensure every transaction is accounted for• Obtain signatures for checks and print and distribute checks as needed to properly facilitate all incoming and outgoing payments• Communicate with all vendors, partners, and staff regarding payments and financial records to ensure bills are paid promptly• Enter financial data into computer software, making sure all bills and invoices are filed correctly• Assist the real estate team or other staff accountants with other accounting duties as needed• Create detailed journal entries and post them to the general ledger (GL) to track all income statements and expenses Qualifications: • Experience in real estate industry preferred• Able to write to and speak with vendors and clients effectively• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks • Must have Real Estate Accounting Experience (Property Management Accounting, Rentals, etc.)• The position requires 3 or more years of bookkeeping or accounting experience• Proficiency in personal computer skills, keyboard, Internet search, email correspondence, math, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc., and other software applications preferred (i.e. Quickbooks, Appfolio )• Effective communication and interaction with the management team, military partners, co-workers, vendors, or residents; sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and complete assigned duties to ensure operational objectives are achieved• Must possess a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions, under all circumstances• Working with rental portfolios for at least 5 years is strongly preferred• Ability to travel to other local office locations for work, training, meetings, and other work-related activities• Experience in accounting, real estate accounting, or property accounting preferred Compensation: $46,000 - $55,000 About Company: At American Fast Home Buyers DBA Top Expert Homes, we pride ourselves not only on our expertise as investors but also as compassionate problem solvers. we are a local full-service real estate investment firm dedicated to providing innovative solutions to homeowners facing various property-related challenges.
