Job Description : Western Springs family seeking an experienced Nanny for two children. The ideal candidate is seeking a long-term position with a loving family. Start July 2024. Schedule: Guaranteed 41 hours, Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday, 8:00am-1:00pm Compensation : $1,025-$1,230/weekly + vacation, holidays, sick days. Job Details and Responsibilities: Two children—3.5-year-old and a 16-month-old. The oldest child attends half-day Preschool. 16-month-old is home during the day. Primary responsibilities are the day-to-day care of the children including preparing healthy meals and snacks, changing diapers, coordinating and monitoring naps, bathing, and taking the children on walks and to activities. Nanny is responsible for scheduling the children's day which should include play dates, recreational outings (library, parks, mall, etc.), arts & crafts, at home play, etc. Light housekeeping includes tidying and organizing, children’s laundry, loading/emptying the dishwasher, and keeping track of children’s needs. Nanny should be knowledgeable regarding child development and milestones. Should be able to provide developmentally appropriate activities. One parent works from home multiple days a week. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement. The family has one large dog. Nanny will not need to care for the dog but should be comfortable around pets. Qualifications: Nanny should have extensive, verifiable nannying experience with multiple children. Nanny is looking for a long-term commitment with a family. Nanny should be warm and caring. Will be able to foster a positive relationship with the children and the family. Nanny should be patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to childcare, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Reliable and communicative. Will make sure to arrive on time each day. Nanny should be able to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs (the home has three floors and will need to carry children up and down). Driving is required for the role. Nanny should have a safe driving record and be able to use their own vehicle. Tdap, COVID, and Flu vaccinations required. Powered by JazzHR
