Jr. Graphic Designer, Washington DC/Hybrid Contract to Hire The position operates on a hybrid work schedule, requiring on-site presence for five days each pay cycle at the VBA Central Office - 1800 G St NW, Washington, DC 20006. Due to our government client requirements, we can only consider US Citizens for this position. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role. Conversion Salary: $60-75K Description Seeking an experienced and dedicated Junior Graphic Designer to join our client's team, supporting the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA). The main responsibility of this role is to create visual design, images, graphics, briefings, and animations, including typography, visual concepts, internet designs, interactive platforms, and documentation. Responsibilities Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency of designs across various media outlets. Create compelling and effective designs, print, and digital media. Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, competitive landscape, and market trends. Communicate and coordinate with the staff, writer, and management to ensure that the visual design communicates the desired message and functions successfully for varying technical and performance specifications. Minimum Qualifications BA/BS from an accredited institution. Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field. Preferred Qualifications Strong graphic design skills. Layout skills. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Analytical skills. Creativity and flexibility. Attention to detail. Deadline-oriented.
