We strive to optimize environmental resiliency in a way that effectively complements our clients' decision-making and operations and efficiently fulfills their project requirements.We have over 135 offices across the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia and are approaching 3,000 employees - all ready to provide solutions for environmental needs.A DAY IN THE LIFEThe Project Air Quality Engineer/Scientist will be responsible for ensuring that technical projects are completed in accordance with regulatory and professional standards, on schedule and within budget. This position will work under the direction of an associate or principal engineer/scientist and in a team environment with other project and staff professionals. The project manager may also be responsible for implementing department programs or initiatives. This position will directly interact with clients and regulators and may require the supervision of project team members.Work will be conducted at the Montrose Santa Ana office oin a hybrid remote environment and will also require some client site visits. The following key areas of focus may be incorporated onto the job:As a key member of the team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including: * Air Quality permitting, analysis and compliance management - majority of work * Greenhouse gas reporting or verification * Optional stormwater compliance management and reporting * Optional hazardous materials compliance management and reporting * Calculate / compile environmental data based upon reference values or client operating data in accordance with established protocol and operating procedures. * Draft technical reports in support of permit applications, regulatory reporting requirements or regulatory interpretations. * Conduct field inspections of client operations to ensure compliance with permits and regulations. * Maintain confidentiality at all times. * Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attend professional workshops. * Work environment will vary greatly depending on nature of assigned tasks. * The position may involve local travel as needed. * Perform other duties as assigned.WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU As a key member of our Montrose team, you can expect: * Competitive compensation package: annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $95,000 - commensurate with accomplishments, performance, credentials and geography. * Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage * 401k with a competitive 4% employer match * Progressive vacation policies, company holidays and paid parental leave benefits to ensure work/life balance * Mentorship and professional development resources to advance your career * Direct exposure to our industry's leading experts who are solving the world's toughest environmental challenges * An entrepreneurial environment where you can learn, thrive and collaborate with talented colleagues * Opportunities to engage and contribute in our Diversity, Fairness and Inclusion and Women Empowering Leadership employee resource groups * A financial assistance program that supports peers in need, known as the Montrose Foundation * Access to attractive student loan rates to optimize your student loan payoff plansYOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLSTo perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
