Title Foreign Language and Culture Instructor Korean Peninsula (Remote-Virtual) Req Number CON-24-00004 EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employerAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by lawDescription The instructor will conduct and manage appropriate preparation activities prior to the start of each course, such as discussion of participant needs and course design with the Government Course Manager, compilation of training materials, and the provision of course instructors as necessaryHost or provide access via approved commercial application (e.g.: Webex, MS Teams, etc.) to any online content related to student completion of a course (to include, but not limited to, student pre-reads, web-based training (WBT), and multimedia projects)Delivery of virtual courses may be altered to fit the needs of the client Electronically track student learning portal registration, participation, and completion of all online content/activities and provide a written status report to the Government Course Manager as requestedUpon receipt of participant information, will send e-learning access instructions and any pre-read assignment instructions to the course participantsEnsure content hosted online remains currentWill take daily attendance at the start of each class and during the last hour of class and send attendance report to the Government Course ManagerWill be responsible for delivering in the Program of Study for the Korean PeninsulaCourse may focus on the entire region or a specific area or country/countries within that areaThe design and delivery of specific topics and/or focus areas will be determined and assigned by the client, in line with current mission/focus areas, crises, or strategic objectivesThe following is a list of, topics, and subject knowledge that the instructor will be deliver in the Program of Study--- History--- Demographics and culture--- Political structure, stability, and strategic intent--- Indigenous, ethnic, and religious groups--- Geography and natural resources--- Transportation and infrastructure--- Economics and Trade--- Military history, capability, and intent--- Terrorism and extremism--- Regional influence and standingAll instructors must meet the following criteria:--- A minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited (i.e., regional, national or institutional) academic institution--- A minimum of 3 years of experience instructing adult learners to include academic settings as well as professional settings--- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field for which they are delivering instruction--- Experience can be associated with teaching in academia, living, or working within the region; serving as an analytic subject matter expert for the region, etc.--- Must be a US Citizen and be able to speak English clearlyFull-Time/Part-Time Independent Contractor Location Business Office Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt Tags This position is currently accepting applications.
