NERC's jurisdiction includes users, owners, and operators of the bulk power system, which serves nearly 400 million people. Our Mission The vision for the ERO Enterprise, which is comprised of NERC and the six Regional Entities, is a highly reliable and secure North American bulk power system. Your Impact The Personnel Certification and Credential Maintenance (PCCM) Program Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the coordination for the System Operator Certification and Credential Maintenance Programs. Supports the day-to-day activities and is the Subject Matter Expert for the System Operator Certification and Credential Maintenance Programs. This position reports to the Manager of Personnel Certification and Credential Maintenance. Your Role Perform and monitor all aspects of the System Operator Certification Program. Perform and monitor all aspects of the Credential Maintenance Program. Support the activities of the Personnel Certification Governance Committee (PCGC) and Credential Maintenance Working Group (CMWG). Serve as the secretary and subject matter expert for the CMWG. Perform data mining, analysis, and metrics for the program. Manage System Operator, Credential Maintenance, and SOCCED inquires. Implement and maintain professionally sound system operator certification and credential maintenance and internal business practices and procedures. Prepare program reports for the PCGC and CMWG. Provide statistics for PCGC subcommittees, working groups, and task forces. Work with vendors and test new software applications as needed. Develop application specifications. Provide project management for software application enhancements and other areas. Support the activities of the Examination Working Group, at manager's request. Support the Personnel Certification Governance Committee's Nomination Task Force. Represent NERC at webinars and other training events. Be familiar with all of NERC's committees. Be familiar with and adhere to information Technology Security Policies and procedures. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university. Excellent Interpersonal skills including presentation and public speaking, listening, and facilitation. Written communications skills, and ability to constructively review and edit written materials Ability to Work independently and as part of a team. Plan, organize, coordinate, prioritize, and complete multiple activities. Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information. Work well cross-functionally, by interacting with staff, key stakeholders, and contractors. Self-motivated with ability to focus on tasks and projects with limited supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) Experience in developing testing scenarios, developing system and reporting requirements, and data validation. Possess ability to remain flexible and adapt to a developing work environment and potential modifications to duty responsibilities. Other A background check will be conducted prior to employment. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire. This position has been classified as exempt. The position may be based remotely but must be able to travel to NERC offices, if needed.
