Sr Security Architect

What success looks like in this role: * Design security aspects of cloud infrastructure, virtual private cloud, virtual private network, relational database services, auto scaling, and computing resources.* Work with a team of Product DevOps/SecOps Engineers to architect and secure the infrastructure supporting the applications and products.* Partner with Technical teams (Architect, Engineers) to assist in creating solutions that balance business requirements with information and cybersecurity requirements in alignment with company's standards and risk appetite* Assist Application and Business Owners in designing and building cloud oriented solutions considering Security best practices, company's controls environment, threat landscape, and information security policies and standards.* Identifies, evaluates, tests and implements appropriate security products, tools, and systems to establish and ensure a secure infrastructure. Articulates security policies, guidelines and standards to customers and developers. * Evaluates, tests, recommends, develops, coordinates, cyber security tools, procedures and systems, including access management for hardware, firmware and software. * Ensures that IS and cyber security architecture/designs, plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with IS standards and overall IS and cyber security. * Provides leadership to managers; may also provide leadership to supervisors and/or professional staff* Possesses a vision for automating disparate security tools into a complimentary system of support for multiple elements of the GIS team including architectural reviews, threat hunting, incident response, vulnerability management, and policy enforcement.* Creatively devises strategies to decrease existing risks while implementing technical controls to minimize future misconfigurations.* Provides digestible metrics to inform senior management of the organization's security posture trends.* Able to analyze third party solution and present in a concise way the result of the analysis to management. * Executes projects to quickly meet core goals using flexible designs that enable future iterations. * Collaborate with teams across the organization to implement advanced security controls.* Assist with third party risk management efforts, disaster recovery assessments, and associated security controls* Has accountability for the performance and results of multiple related units. Develops departmental plans, including business, production, operational and/or organizational priorities. * Controls resources and policy formation in area of responsibility. * Decisions are guided by resource availability and functional objectives.You will be successful in this role if you have: Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years related Security or Networking experience, two of which should be in a team lead/managerial role OR 10 years, two of which being in a team lead or managerial role. Prior work experience should include Exposure to business development and presales support Experience leading cyber security teams Experience with personnel management, including hiring and performance tracking Experience with cloud, on-premises, and hybrid workflows 5-7 years of experience in Azure application security architecture and deployments Understanding of industry framework (e.g., NIST, CIS) and standards for cybersecurity (e.g., OAuth) Strong understanding of modern deployment tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker Experience with fundamental networking, native cloud technologies, micro services, scripting, and automation concepts#LI-JH1This role may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology.
