Come be a part of our mission.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to lead and manage a major subcontractor responsible for delivering many large aperture full motion antenna systems supporting the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) program. This position would be based in the Colorado Springs, Colorado area.This role requires an extensive knowledge of Systems Engineering and previous experience in the management of major subcontractors. The selected candidate along with supporting functions and disciplines will be responsible for all aspects of the DARC Antenna Subsystem.Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: Act as the Northrop Grumman responsible engineer for the DARC Antenna SS. Manage the Antenna Subsystem technical baseline. Work with Global Supply Chain to manage the contractual baseline of the DARC Antenna Subsystem. Work with the DARC technical team to resolve technical issues and manage risk. Manage cost and schedule performance of the Antenna Subsystem major subcontractor. Maintain the governing subcontract documents (Statement of Work, Procurement Specification, and Subcontractor Data Item List). Coordinate with all NG stakeholders as the DARC Antenna SS moves into production and formal site acceptance testing. Conduct and support any trade studies associated with the DARC Antenna Subsystem. This position does allow for hybrid work 1-2 days a week with 3-4 days a week onsite required. Basic Qualifications 14 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's-STEM degree; 12 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters's-STEM degree; 9 Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD-STEM [completed STEM degree is required to be considered for this role] Must have an Active Secret DoD security clearance Proficient with Microsoft Office tool suite. Ability to travel domestically up to 25% domestically. Technical background in RF theory and large aperture antenna systems. Systems engineering experience across the entire development life cycle. Experience with test plan development and alignment with requirements selloff. Experienced with integration and testing of complex systems made up of hardware and software configuration items. Experience managing major subcontractors with a strong commitment to shared success. Preferred Qualifications Ability to travel up to 25% OCONUS during site deployment phase of the program. Cost Account management experience including both labor and material accounts. Familiar with Agile mythologies and tool sets (e.g., JIRA, Confluence). Experience with large ground data processing systems and ground-based RADARs. Experienced integrating large and complex system of systems made up of both hardware and software configuration items. Hands on experience with various types of test equipment, such as spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, and optical power meters. Program and schedule management experience. Explore your future and launch your career today. #definingpossible Salary Range: $150,000 - $225,000The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
