About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Retail Investment Research Analyst in Global Securities Research (GSR) as part of Wells Fargo Investment Institute (WIFI) in Wealth & Investment Management (WIM). This role will support investment research for equities where you will be responsible for providing timely, well-supported advice on equities income securities to retail Financial Advisors and Wealth Managers. Advice and guidance on equity securities is delivered through written publications and personal interactions with Financial Advisors. In this role, you will: Researching of individual securities to isolate critical variables and formulate sound investment advice by gathering, reading, and analyzing informationPresenting commentary and equity sector advice to portfolio management teams within other Wells Fargo lines of business that have established relationships with GSRCovering at least one equity sector and potentially moreManaging or co-managing one of WFII's equity recommended listsProactively responding to developments/news of high interest to retail financial advisors & clientsReviewing of financial documents, news reports, press releases and regulatory filings and other event notices to determine the scope of the event and any action that needs to be taken by the FA/clientCommunicate risk suitability recommendations for WFA's Equity Capital Markets CommitteeCompiling fundamental and economic dataPerforming financial analysisDeveloping and maintaining databases and forecasts to evaluate appropriate valuationsWriting research reports to reflect company, sector, and market developments Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Retail Investment Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: 5+ years' experience in investment research related to equity, municipal bond or corporate bondExperience covering the Financials sectorExperience speaking with Financial Advisors to answer questions and deliver guidance related to individual investment securitiesExperience publishing clear and concise research publications on equities for either internal company use or for broader publicationDemonstrated ability to identify and execute on sound investment decisions on individual securitiesKnowledge and understanding of investment research, portfolio analysis or quantitative financeKnowledge and understanding of Investment tools such as Bloomberg or Factset applicationsProficient in MS Excel and MS WordDetail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skillsAble to work in a highly collaborative and flexible environmentChartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or MBA Job Expectations: This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorshipThis position offers a hybrid work scheduleRelocation is not available for this role Work Location: 1 North Jefferson Street - St. Louis, MO 63103 Posting End Date: 28 Apr 2024 *Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.
