The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience in construction contracts, strong drafting skills, and the ability to manage a team while providing excellent client service.Duties:Draft and review construction contracts of various types, including EPC, EPCM, BOP, equipment supply, and operation and maintenance contractsManage a team of junior associates and work closely with partners on project transactions.Analyze and synthesize new information related to projects and contractsProvide legal advice and support to clients in the energy industryConduct legal research and analysis as neededEnsure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in project transactionsRequirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver or reciprocity3 or more years of experience working on construction contracts, preferably in the energy industryExperience managing a team or supervising junior associatesStrong drafting skills and contract analysis capabilitiesExcellent communication and organizational skillsSelf-motivated with a commitment to providing excellent substantive work and client serviceEducation and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver or reciprocitySkills:Proficiency in drafting and reviewing construction contractsAbility to manage a team and work collaboratively with partnersStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyFamiliarity with the energy industry and related legal issues is a plus This Texas-headquartered elite firm is appealing for associates interested in energy work.
